Welcome

Greenearth Energy Limited is an Australian Geothermal energy company that aims to explore for and develop geothermal resources in Australia, Indonesia, and in due course the wider Pacific Rim.

Geothermal energy is being increasingly recognised as having the potential to deliver, clean, reliable and renewable energy that is capable of a wide range of uses with very low or no greenhouse gas emissions.

The company was awarded 3 geothermal exploration permits (GEPs) in May 2007 by the Victorian Government covering 18,795 km2. The permits are located in the Latrobe valley/Gippsland Area (GEP12 & 13) and the Bellarine Peninsula/Surf Coast Shire/Geelong/Daylesford Area (GEP 10).

The Board and Management thank those investors who supported our Initial Public Offer and welcome you as shareholders. A total of $10.03 million was raised under the prospectus with shares issued at 30 cents per share. The company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on the 4 February 2008 with the stock code of GER.

$7M Commonwealth Funding Agreement Negotiations Extension

Greenearth Energy Limited (ASX:GER) on 20 May, 2010 announced that the company had received the draft Geothermal Drilling Program (GDP) funding agreement from the newly formed Australian Centre for Renewable Energy (ACRE) within the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism (DRET) for the company's flagship Victorian geothermal energy project, the Geelong Geothermal Power Project. The company was subsequently advised by ACRE that it has until 17 July, 2010 to execute the $7M GDP funding agreement allowing an initial drawdown of funds in support of the company's flagship hot sedimentary aquifer (HSA) geothermal energy project located in the Wensleydale - Gherang area northwest of Anglesea, Victoria. The original execution date was set by ACRE for 17 June, 2010. On 14 July the company was advised by ACRE that due to delays in the negotiation process the negotiation period would be extended a further 30 days until 16 August, 2010.
